In August 2019 I noticed this sign on a hillside in Glendale, CA. Originally reading "27 ACRE LAND, FOR SALE, BY OWNER, 818.568.9999" someone had whitewashed and then spray painted "Abolish Class Society" on top of it. I thought this was funny but also an interesting renegade art action, considering a case could be made that the root of class structure in society goes back to land ownership and debt. I hiked up to the sign and took this photograph with my cell phone.
